Fall/Winter 2012 Nails.

On the Fall /Winter 2012 runways, designers echoed the colors of their collections onto models’ hands, sending the message that it is more than okay to be matchy-matchy when it comes to your clothing and nails. From neutrals to nailart, here’s a few inspirational picks from the most covetable runway manis perfect for this time of year.
Nude.
Whether it is literally transparent or flesh-colored opaque, nude is in for fall and a great way to show off your filing, moisturizing and shaping efforts.

From L-R: Versace, Guy Larouche.

Blue.
Some of our favorite designers have a big crush on blue. From navy and grayish to barely-there blue, we can't wait to try this color on for size. Notice that matte colors made an appearance too.
From L-R: Anna Sui, Oscar De La Renta, Elie Saab.

Red.
When it comes to the color of the season, burgundy was it. So it comes as no surprise this was a big nail color tend too.
From L-R: Georges Chakra, Zac Posen, Doo Ri.

Nail Art.
Nail art was taken to a whole new level, from a hardcore medieval spin to DIY-looking tribal to midnight black, there's no shortage of imagination this season. For a serious over the top wow-factor, this can be your best bet.
From L-R: Thierry Mugler, Kate Spade and Vivienne Westwood.

The Hair Bow.

Remember Lady Gaga with the huge hair bow at the release of Poker Face in 2009? Guess what? It is making a comeback! Creating loops and bows out of really long hair isn’t anything new but it is getting more sophisticated since Lady Gaga.

Sky high topknots have been making the rounds on the red carpet and everywhere else from Kim Kardashian to Kelly Osbourne but it is a very sharp look that doesn’t work for everyone even on a normal day. A hair bow is a better way to upgrade from the bun and stay on trend without going to the salon.

Here’s how to create the hair bow in three easy steps. First, tie the hair into a high ponytail, pulling the last piece of hair only halfway through to make a loose bun. Second, tease the bun to fan it out and create a part in the center. Finally, take the remaining section of the hair and pull it through the centre of the parted bun, then fix in place with hair pins. Add a little finishing hairspray for a polished look.

And there you have it – a beautiful bow tie without the fuss of silly hairbands or scrunchies.
