The 64th Primetime Emmy Awards recently took place to honour the best on Television and as usual, it was glamorous gowns and black tuxedos with a few changes here and there. Here are some of the red carpet trends at the Emmys.

Sheer Panels. The incorporation of sheer panels on confections of dresses makes for the most naughty but innocent of looks and this is why celebrities can’t get enough of it especially for many a red carpet events.

Pops of Colour. There is nothing like wearing a colorful gown to stand out in the crowd. Colors from burgundy, Orange, Purple amongst others popped on the Emmys’ red carpet like never before.

Sunny Yellow. Yellow certainly came out to play as not more than three stars made an entrance on the carpet in various shades of this sunny color. Clearly, they all needed a mood pick me up and no colour does it better than yellow.

All shades Grey. Grey is the NEW black! The Emmys red carpet saw the various  shades of Grey from a lot of stars noting it as one of the colors for the season.

A Bow Tie Affair. The men looked dashing in their black tie whilst others gave us a few surprises in the changes made to the normal tuxedo. Variations were made to the bowtie and shirts in stead of the normal black and white tuxedo.

Embellishments. Sequins and beads sparkled on the Emmys red carpet as celebrities came decked out in the shiniest and metallic of gowns.

The past few months have been paying homage to everything music. The various music awards have been taking place and as usual most celebrities and fashionistas come out to impress on the red carpet. The ladies maintain their elegance, pay tribute to the trends and dress to impress depending on the vibe of the Awards. But, they are not the ones we’re going to pay attention to.

This time round, I have been impressed with male fashion on the red carpet. It is good to see male celebrities especially musicians take to the trends and incorporate a few of them in their style. There has been a parade of color where suits are concerned and a touch of elegance unlike the normal classic black tie suit, tuxedo though some do cut a fine figure in the classics.

Neon has been on and off the fashion scene since the 80’s but has made a fun and fearless comeback due to color. Fun, flirty and vibrant colors are what this season is all about and nothing encompasses all that in one than neon.
The number one rule about neon is not to go overboard with both colour and accessories. You don’t want to stick out like a really sore thumb. Here’s a few ways on how to incorporate touches of neon in your style for a subtle yet sophisticated look.

.The addition of neon accents in your overall look makes you look not only trendy but fashionable too. Remember not to go overboard even when colour blocking. Neon accents work well with neutral colors which makes them stand out best.

The month of January through February marks the onset of one of the most watched events in both Television and Film aptly known as Award Season. From the People’s Choice Awards to the Academy Awards; Directors, Producers, Writers, Musicians, Composers and Actors come out to honor their peers decked in the most gorgeous gowns and Tuxedos strictly for the various Awards’ Red Carpets.
Here are some of the Trends that graced the Red Carpet this Award season.

Color Blocking. Color blocking is a great way to mix and match different color palettes to pull of a great look and a lot of the fashion conscious did that. Most celebrities went with two-toned shades to add a little color to otherwise bland outfits like Angelina Jolie and Emma Stone at the Golden Globes.

 Color. Tonnes of color from jewel to blush tones ruled the Red carpet on all awards. From Paula Patton's bold yellow to Kelly Osbourne’s deep blue at the Screen Actors’ Guild Awards, celebrities showed their love for bold colors without shame and proved it is here to stay.

Sparkles. Glitter and Sparkles ruled the runways during last year’s fashion week. It is no surprise that this trend made its way from the runways to the red carpet. There is not a girl in this world who doesn’t love a little sparkle/Glitter no matter how old.

High Collar. The collar trend has changed in so many different ways lately that it is a little hard to keep up with since a lot of necklines are on fashion. The High neckline made its debut on the red carpet as the neck line of choice for celebrities like Adele to Taylor Swift making it one of the trends for the season.

High Slit. I can not get enough of the high slit on skirts and dresses and neither can the fashion savvy. Sporting a high slit is not only a fun way to show off a toned leg, it is also very prim and flirtatious.

 

Mermaid. So many celebrities flattered in custom made silhouettes with flaring mermaid style trends.

So many people are afraid of color especially when it comes to wearing colorful items. This is the season to embrace this trend because it is here to stay. From color-blocking to colorful miss-match, there is more than one way to rock this trend. It is guaranteed to make you pop out from the crowd in a good way.
Here’s a few ways on how you can incorporate color into your style and wardrobe.

Lips.
The bright lipstick color has taken over the beauty and makeup world. Don’t be left out on this colorful venture as a dash of bright lipstick from red to orange will give you that extra oomph of color. The good thing about wearing a bright lip is: the less makeup the better as minimal is key for you to rock this fabulous trend.

Scarves. 
These are accessory staples that never go out of fashion. Not only do they compliment every style and weather, they come in an assortment of colors that will surely add that pop to your outfit.

 
Nails.
Get creative with your manicure by wearing bright colored polish or have multicolored nails. This will make your nails stand out and make you love them every time you look at them.

  
Cocktail Rings.
Bright bold cocktail rings are exactly what your dainty fingers need. These are made for getting attention which you certainly won’t lose when you rock one of them.

Bright Denim.
Tired of the old sky blue, baby blue and black denim? Try out the new colored denim trend from orange to neon green  for a different look. The advantage of denim is that you can dress it up or down and can wear it with ballet flats, boots and pumps.

Printed Shoes.
Add a pop of color to an otherwise bland outfit by wearing printed shoes. These come in platform and ballet flats. They alone will make you stand out in the crowd.
